I made this today and it was really good! I didn’t read the directions until last night and the pork shoulder was still frozen so I couldn’t marinate for 24 hours. I defrosted it overnight and marinated it for 3 hours this morning and cooked it on high for about 6 hours. I also left out the habaneros because the grocery store didn’t have them. Made pork tacos and have so much leftover meat. Thinking about the chili recipe you posted!

I haven’t tried the recipe but it looks great so I am going to try it. Can’t wait.

Thanks! I thought of that but then figured it may be too bland without the peppers. I’ll try it with and see how it goes! Can’t wait to try the recipe.

Mweiss – I didn’t find this to be spicy at all, because the 8 hour cooking process really kills most of the heat from the habaneros. If you are worried though, you can totally just leave them out and still have a very flavorful final product.

This sounds like a great recipe. Though for someone who likes things on the milder side, is this very spicy?
