Can you believe Thanksgiving is in like 20 minutes?
Have you even begun to prepare your stomach for the great pork-out-palooza?
I think we need to take some baby steps here, to make sure we don’t overdo it. This is what I propose: Each day we eat a few bites more than the previous day. You know, building up our stamina so that when it’s time to gormandize like nobody’s beezneez, we’ll be ready to rock it.
I can’t tell if you’re nodding your head, shaking it, or if that’s a huge fist coming right at my face.
Before you slug me, let’s talk about these here Maple-Orange Mashed Sweet Potatoes! Super creamy, hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, zingy with fresh citrus, and rich with maple flavor.
Yeah look who’s all about the baby steps now, mmmmm hmmmmm.
Okay, grab a couple of sweet potatoes, milk, a little butter, some maple syrup, an orange, and a few pinches of cinnamon and nutmeg! OH, and brown sugar.
Give your taters a rough dice. And then throw them into some boiling water for about 15 minutes.
After you’ve drained them, return ‘em to the pan and add all the goodies. Mmmmm, guuuurl.
Mash mash mash! Taste taste taste. Mm mm mm.
Serve her up! I liked to drizzle more maple syrup on top for seduction purposes. Trust me.
I mean, will ya just look at that.
Thanksgiving needs to land in my face like right now.
