The food blogosphere never sleeps. So Taste for Adventure editors scour the interweb for fresh recipes, tips and recommendations that deserve more love. Here are three finds we just had to share:
1. Frozen Coconut Limeade from She Wears Many Hats
Here’s a quick frozen fix: put four no-prep ingredients in a blender, push button, done. You will need coconut rum for this recipe (or cream of coconut for a non-alcoholic version), and make sure to watch out for brain freeze. Yeah, it’s that good.
2. Blueberry Basil Lemonade from Created by Diane
This one takes a little more effort, but wait until you taste the fruits of your labor! Fresh lemons are the secret to this one. The standard recipe is non-alcoholic, but as Diane points out, you can add a shot of vodka to punch it up.
3. Basil and Mint Lemonade from Taste and Tell
Deborah bills this as “…seriously the best lemonade that I have ever tried.” This is the most involved of the three recipes, with a basil/mint simple syrup making things interesting. If you have an herb garden, it’s one more tasty way to incorporate basil.
We’ll be back next week to shine the spotlight on the best food bloggers!
